Factors to Consider When Choosing a Basin Tap

Knob and cross-shaped handles are usually chosen for their aesthetic as they pair well with vintage interior designs. The twist-to-operate mechanism also allows many homeowners to adjust the water flow more precisely.

On the other hand, lever handles are generally more convenient and comfortable to use. As they are operated by a simple horizontal or vertical push, they are more user-friendly for children, the elderly and people with mobility issues.

You may want to opt for a shorter spout if you have a shallow basin or if your sink is underneath a low-hanging shelf or mirror. 

Taller spouts are great if you like extra elbow space, and are best paired with a deep basin so that water does not splash out. Do remember to also measure the area around the sink to ensure that the tap will not be obstructive in your washroom.
