How to remove mould with sprays

Mould removal sprays usually have a nozzle to twist to “on” and “off” the spray. To begin with, twist it to “spray” mode. Here are the next steps to take:

1. Spot test the product on a less obvious area to ensure that it does not damage the surface.
2. Spray the mould removal on the affected area and leave it for 2 - 3 minutes.
3. Rinse or wipe the product off using a clean cloth.
4. For stubborn stains, apply the product a second time and leave it on for a longer period before rinsing or wiping it off.

Once you are done cleaning, make sure you twist it to the “off” position for safety.

You are strongly advised to use the product in a well-ventilated area. Additionally, it is recommended that you wear gloves and eye protection during usage. Do avoid contact with skin, fabric, old laminates and basins.

How to prevent mould growth

After getting rid of mould, here are some tips to prevent them from growing again:

• Keep humidity levels low by using a dehumidifier
• Ensure sufficient ventilation in your home by having exhaust fans where possible
• Fix any leaks in your home’s walls or plumbing promptly
